Developer Mode

In developer mode, Talisman runs your project in a dedicated container from the talismancloud/talisman-devmode image. The container fetches the project files from Talisman Server and runs them on Apache Camel Main, the same runtime your integration uses in production. Use it to run and test integrations quickly while you develop.

Developer Mode Features:

  1. Fast start: Apache Camel Main runs the project in-process, with no build step.
  2. Hot Reload: Instantly see the results of your changes.
  3. Developer Console: Access useful tools and insights.
  4. Exchange Message Tracing: Monitor and debug message flows within your integration.

Why run in the cluster instead of locally?

Developer Mode runs your integration in the same container runtime as production, with direct access to Kubernetes Secrets and ConfigMaps — no local ports to enterprise systems, no locally stored credentials, and no second configuration workflow to maintain.

When you're ready to run your integration, simply follow these steps:

  1. Access the Project Panel: Navigate to your project.
  2. Run Your Integration: Locate the Run button in the top-right panel of your project interface.
